The list doesn't sync
- Is the iPhone online? Without a connection Homecart keeps working locally and catches up later.
- A “not signed in” strip at the top means the server no longer knows this device (e.g. after being removed). Use “Sign in again” under Account & backup or rejoin with the code.
- The server address under “Server (developer)” is for self-hosting only; changing it disconnects sync.
The code isn't accepted
Codes have 6 or 8 characters, case doesn't matter; 0 and O, 1 and I are easily confused. If someone was removed from the household, the code has changed, ask for the current one. After ten failed attempts within an hour, input pauses for an hour.
The evening reminder doesn't arrive
It only comes when a shopping day is recognised (Settings → About → What the app has learned) and something is due that evening and notifications are allowed (iOS Settings → Homecart → Notifications). A Focus mode can hold it back as well.
Siri doesn't understand me
With the app name: “add milk to Homecart”. Without: turn on the Reminders route (see Siri) and check that the Reminders list is called “Grocery list” and Homecart has access. Siri must speak your iPhone's language.
An item is duplicated
If two devices add the same thing offline at the same time, Homecart de-duplicates after syncing, keeping quantities and notes. If something stays doubled, delete one row (don't check it off).
