Inviting guests

For parties, trips and celebrations: open the list → menu next to the title → Invite guests → share the link. Guests need neither app nor account; they open the link in the browser, enter their name and see this one list only, never your household. One guest group is free (one list you can refill with guests as often as you like); every further list with guests is part of Pro.

What guests see and do

Guests see the list, mark what they bring, and report expenses (“I shopped”, amount and note). They see the settle-up and their own payment paths. Optionally they add a PayPal name so others can send money with one tap. Your household's numbers and lists stay invisible to guests.

Settle-up: expenses and shares

All expenses of a list (yours and guests') are collected in the settle-up, reached via the money pill at the bottom of the list. It works out to the cent who owes whom, with as few payments as possible. Under “Who counts how much” you set shares: children 0 or half, a couple double. The currency is your household's, chosen when the household was created from the iPhone's region.

Ticking off payments

Each payment path (“Fabian pays Nadine €13.50”) has two sides: the payer taps “I've paid”, the recipient “I got it”, or you as organiser “Mark as paid”. When everything is settled: “All square. Nobody owes anything.” with confetti. Share the settle-up as an image, e.g. into the group chat. If the recipient has a PayPal name, the path opens PayPal with amount and name pre-filled; Homecart transmits nothing, it just opens the link.
